Patron on Ice

The Patrón Social Club is one of the coolest venues that Moth to Flame recently had an opportunity to be a part… great food, drinks, and people. The biggest highlight of the day was getting to meet John Paul Dejoria himself, the founder of both Paul Mitchell products as well as Patrón. I have both heard the brand included in so many movies and hip-hop rap songs, and have definitely had a chance to have a drink or two (or three), but never imagined that I would have the chance to take a shot with JP himself. What a super nice surprise.

It is hard to imagine that this multi-billionaire was once homeless. I can only imagine how hard JP had to work to get to where he is right now. It is both inspiring and humbling to me as a small business owner. Despite his success and wealth, JP was completely approachable. When I asked to take a picture with him, he said: “Of course! What shall we do? Peace signs for Peace, Love, and Happiness?” Awesome.

We hope you enjoy the final product filmed by David Lackey, Collin Snyder, and Christine Chen, and edited by Christine Chen. We had a great experience. Cheers!

Christine Chen is an Austin, Texas independent producer, director, and the founder of Moth to Flame. She is rarely seen without a camera.
