Moth to Flame is a full service production company based in Austin, Texas. We offer writing, directing, cinematography, photography, producing, editing, sound mixing, and even project consulting services. If you have a story, we have the resources and team to tell it in a unique and compelling way. Scroll down to see some of our work.
For Nike we assembled a team of 10 videographers and photographers to document the 10K Longhorn Run. This was a great challenge coordinating logistics to make sure we captured the opening cannon at the start of the race, the supporters at the multiple water stations, and the final festivities at the finish line.
We challenge companies to think outside of the box and create content that is fresh, innovative, and memorable, but most importantly achieves your business goals. With our diverse team backgrounds in marketing, strategy, and film, we achieve the perfect balance between business and creativity.
For HP, we made a series of 70s (hence the peace signs) and 80s inspired training videos about Lean Six Sigma using the GH4.
Having been a startup, helping other startup companies is something we love to do. So far we have helped raise over $100,000 for Austin startups in service, product, and tech industries. Our recent project with Modern Fuel not only hit its target crowdfunding goal in the first day, but also raised over 10 times its goal and still going strong!
One of our biggest strengths is our skill in both video and photography. We often take marketing and product stills at the same time as we film, which helps to save time and money for the client. This is great for product investor videos which require both video and photography, as well as documenting corporate events. We even do professional headshots.
Accomplishing our first feature film, Funemployment was a marathon! We couldn’t have done it without the loving support of our fans, friends, and family who donated to the Kickstarter, as well as time and resources. The film has taken approximately 3 years to complete. One year to develop and perfect the story, one year to prepare and shoot, and finally one year of post-production. It will be out Spring 2015.
We’ve been lucky to travel to San Diego, all over Texas, and even India to film and take photos of all kinds of events!
For Moth to Flame, capturing the details (especially the ones that people tend to gloss over) is the most important part about a great special events video. Whether a wedding or a full blown fanfest, we get up and personal with everything so that it feels like you’re there. We love meeting new people and capturing them at their most memorable moments.
