29 Jan 1-2 PUNCH!!! Countdown: Still 10 months..

…..So three weeks and three trips to Houston later, I’ve got a dress and a Church!!!

You have no idea how good it feels to have those 2 VERY important things done this early. I feel like I should get an award for only having to visit one church and 3 dress shops, but I know I got lucky. So I’ll try to keep things in perspective. But lets discuss a few things concerning these 2.

#1- THE DRESS:

I had looked at dresses online early on and mentally decided on a style I like. Something floor-length, A-line, flowy, small train, and lace. Well I won’t give it away but what I ended up getting is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what I originally wanted. Here’s the thing, you have to be flexible when you’re trying on dresses. Try everything on, even if you just like one single, teeny, tiny detail. You never know what might work. Also it had the main factor that was most important to me, it was different. It wasn’t just a dress, but it was MY dress. It looked like me, and not every other dress out there.
P.S. I found the dress on my birthday.

I’m so very excited how beautiful and simple the church is. The Lyceum is a beautiful, former Lutheran church that now just acts as a venue. Built in 1850, it hasn’t changed a lot since that year. It has floor to ceiling stained glass windows, dark wood everything, and includes tables and chairs with the price. And that price…….lets just say there aren’t many places with such a good deal.

So I’ll leave y’all with this..
TIP #2: Try everything on. Even if you don’t think it’s amazing on the hanger.
