During the last month of my time in LA, my life has been take over by a guy named Nic Putnam. He is an incredible filmmaker and now a great friend. I guess you really have to appreciate each other’s company in order to stand working with each other until 4 am for 15 hours straight, 5 to 7 days a week. Nic Putnam is from Fat HamPsters Productions as well as True Colors Productions. When I first figured out he was from Fat Hampster Productions, I gave Nic significant grief about spelling the word hamster incorrectly. His response was to capitalize the P and augment the situation :o). That is Nic for you. Nic asked Moth to Flame Films to help out with this particular project “Big Balls”.

Nic and Joel started a website called www.bigroundballs.com to raise money for cancer research. The music video, based upon ACDC’s “Big Balls” is part of a campaign to create buzz for the website. I helped film as well as edit the project. On the day of production, we shot everything in a matter of 2 hours. I sat in a little kiddy red wagon being pulled by a disgruntled Josh, down the Venice Beach boardwalk, as I filmed the “band” walk down the boardwalk lip synching to the song. We were quite a sight. Behind the scenes footage to come. During the entire filming session, the entire cast and crew were weary about being pulled over by the police because filming is not allowed on the boardwalk without a permit… which we definitely did not have. Luckily, everything went very smoothly.
