04 Feb Meet the McCombs BBA Students
Filming for a large project and client, like your former graduate school, University of Texas McCombs, can be daunting. What I have learned is that the biggest challenge is coordinating the logistics.
Most large clients expect things to be done fast AND also be the best of the best in quality. These two requests do not always go hand in hand. There is very little room for error and even if things do not run smoothly, clients expect you to pull all the tricks to make it happen. You’re working with the pros, so you better be a pro.
This is one of those projects. We had very little time to turn around all the videos and we had to interview over 20 some non-actor students, during the depths of finals week. The most difficult part about working with real people is how to create the most comfortable environment for your subjects. Being in front of camera is not easy to do. Actors make it look easy.
All of the interviews are non-scripted — real stories by real people. We wanted to make sure that shone through. The students did a great job and we’re proud to represent a great school. Hook Em Horns! We love working with UT!
The videos went live on January 20, 2015 on the BBA website, our first live project in 2015!
