Dane’s Body Shop is a personal training studio mixing every fitness discipline for healthy weight loss. The concept for the video was loosely based on “The Dollar Shave Club” style. Our goal was to showcase the culture and fun vibe at Dane’s Body Shop in a creative way that also gets across vital information about the location. All of the people featured in the commercial are non-actors. The challenge for making the film was to take non-actors with zero film experience and provide easy instruction that is both fun, but also looks great on camera.

The entire shoot was filmed in 1 day with very minimal crew due to budget constraints. Everyone at the shop volunteered their time. What makes this commercial an all time favorite is that each participant made it their own. From the synchronized presses to random pink dumbbell weights, every scene is full of unique details that begs for the viewers to watch multiple times.

My personal favorite in the video is seeing one of the coaches get nailed in the head by  a medicine ball. Most people will not catch this detail on the first viewing, but when viewed multiple times you’ll find these little details that make this by far one of my most favorite and proud projects to be a part of.
