04 Feb Essential Oliver Brand Launch Party with Moth to Flame
One of the coolest things about doing what you love is that you get to film and meet other people who are just as passionate about what they do. This past weekend, Moth to Flame stopped by the Essential Oliver brand launch party, held at Delta Millworks. Essential Oliver is a vintage lifestyle brand specializing in high craftsmanship clothing. Besides the awesome new looks, our favorite part about the party was meeting all of the sponsoring brands and companies. Along the lines of our theme of Funemployment, Moth to Flame talked to many local brands ranging from coffee to…

03 Feb SXSW is coming!
It is crazy to think that 2013 has already come and gone and we are already planning for 2014 SXSW! As the date closes in, startups, artists, and other folks trying to make a statement should consider doing some video blogging. During these two intensive weeks, many of the Moth to Flame members enjoy cavorting around the streets of SXSW, which ranges from Rainey to Downtown to Auditorium Shores and more filming cool sites and sounds. This year will definitely yield some more awesome new videos, Instagram pics, tweets, and more. Staying active is important because more so than…
29 Jan 1-2 PUNCH!!! Countdown: Still 10 months..
…..So three weeks and three trips to Houston later, I’ve got a dress and a Church!!! You have no idea how good it feels to have those 2 VERY important things done this early. I feel like I should get an award for only having to visit one church and 3 dress shops, but I know I got lucky. So I’ll try to keep things in perspective. But lets discuss a few things concerning these 2. #1- THE DRESS: Wedding Dress – Lyceum Galveston Moth to Flame I had looked at dresses online early on and…
01 Mar Staff Movie Review: The Last Stand – He’s Back!!!
Starring Arnold Swarzenegger, Forrest Whittaker, and Johnny Knoxville The Last Stand is basically the Old West mixed with modern day firepower and a classic action hero. Arnold Swarzenegger plays Sheriff Ray Owens, the sheriff of a small, sleepy town on the U.S./Mexico border. This town also happens to be the last stop of a Mexican drug lord on the run from the FBI. Of course the sheriff, being an honorable Old West type, says, “Not in my town!” To preface this review, I would like that to say that I grew up watching action movies; that was father-daughter bonding...08 Jan Here’s Johnny! COTA interview with host Johnny Walter and Moth to Flame
COTA Formula 1 fanfest from 2013 was one of our fondest memories. What could be better than COTA mixed in with Austin’s heartthrob, Johnny Walter?
25 Aug Moth to Flame is on the Nasdaq MarketSite Tower with Texas Venture Labs!
Moth to Flame’s work showed up on the Nasdaq MarketSite Tower. It was an extremely exciting and surreal moment to see it play on the tower. We had some of our fans who happened to be in New York, take some video footage for us since we could not be there for this epic moment!
11 Jul Cali Blog #9: Graffiti Walls and White Dresses
Vivi and I woke up at a relatively decent hour in the morning, expecting to try and catch the morning light for our graffiti photo shoot. Unfortunately, when Vivi took the dogs out, she came back saying that it was unusually hot outside. To provide a bit of context, in Cali terms, hot means anything greater than mid 70s. In Texas terms, hot means anything above 100. Regardless, my friend Dave wanted to meet up for lunch, so we decided to chill at home and work until then. Vivi made me a wonderful breakfast of cut oats and fruit….
10 Jul Cali Blog #8: Huntington
Blogging every day can be a bit time consuming, so today I decided to do what we call a Vlog, a video blog. I have not done this in a while because I find that I am a lot more interesting in writing than on screen, that’s what Kelsey Pribilski is for (check our for her blog post tomorrow), but for the sake of saving some time, here is our video blog from Huntington Beach. I will be less lazy tomorrow! Minimal photography… you’ll see why in the blog. I did get a chance to take pictures of…
09 Jul Cali Blog #7: Pool Time and Arguments
After staying up and editing photos, I woke up late. 10 AM! I am so used to waking up at around 7 or 8 in the morning that I can definitely tell vacation is getting to me. Vivi and I had originally planned to get up early and do our graffiti photo shoot, but that obviously did not happen. I woke up with two sleeping puppies, Leo and Atty snuggled with me in my bed. Cute. The morning consisted of working and then heading off to enjoy a nice brunch with Shannon and Vivi at the 5 Cent Diner,…
