26 Aug Two Roads: PINT-SIZED PERSPECTIVE
Two Roads was a fun movie to work on. First, I did an audition tape. I memorized two scenes—a funny one and a sad one. Then I got to meet Adam and Christine on Skype.
During my call back, I found out I would get to ride a longhorn if I got the part. I really really really wanted to get the part because it would be so fun to ride a longhorn! When I found out I got it, I couldn’t wait to meet Lobo, who we called Fluffy in the movie.
Being on set was fun and it was also lots of work. One time, I was supposed to be asleep in the scene and I fell asleep for real!
We were shooting at Adam’s aunt’s farm in Louisiana and there were lots of animals. I want to be a vet when I grow up, so Aunt Nancy let me help feed the animals and take care of them.
One of the longhorns was jealous that he didn’t get to be in the movie. He would make loud noises when we were trying to film. So I gave him cow cubes from the barn and told him he was my friend too.
My favorite thing about the set was the kittens. One of the cats on the farm had kittens who were so tiny and soooo cute! I got to cuddle and play with them and pet their soft, soft fur. I named one Stripey. She took a nap in my lap.
I also learned to drive. Yep, that’s right. Alex taught me how to drive the Kubota. I pressed the gas and turned the wheel and everything. I’m a really good driver.
We shot lots of scenes but my favorite was when I got to put shaving cream on my face. I’m so glad Adam and Christine chose me to be in their movie.
