Want to know what going to business school is like? This is the UT official “Gettin’ My MBA” Music video – parody of Lonely Island’s “Jizz in my Pants”.

When I first came to business school. I already knew that I wanted to a make a parody about it. I suppose the idea came from watching all the parodies made by medical and law schools, but very few for business school.

I figured it was a way to get to know my classmates and to practice my craft. The original concept was supposed to be based on the song “I’m on a Boat”, but tailored for “I’m at McCombs.” I wrote the lyrics only to discover that another college had already made the same except video. And hence, I settled on the famous “Jizz in my Pants”.

Casting is 80% of the work. Without my lovely actors this music video would not have been possible. All of my actors I had met during the semester and after interacting with everyone, I knew exactly who I wanted to select to be in my video.

I wanted to do something fun for my class and to do something that our class would be proud to share. Gettin’ My MBA took 6 days to shoot (2 hour increments after class), all the music was sung by the actors. I was surprised by the initial response to the trailers made for the video and even happier with how people responded to the actual video itself.

Gettin’ My MBA launched Moth to Flame Films. I had been making videos for a while, but never under my own brand and company. I guess business school taught me something. 🙂

Overall, it was very successful project and on that I hope people will remember even after business school.
