Rocket Brothers Band shoot with Moth to Flame

The Rocket Brothers Band Promo Shoot

The Rocket Brothers Band shoot was awesome, mostly because it started in the afternoon (which is always awesome) and ended on time (also awesome.) Just kidding… What made it awesome was the people, cast and crew. The band was the nicest bunch of folks I’d met in awhile, and the crew was in high spirits like usual.

We started the Rocket Brothers Band shoot by unloading all the equipment Kellie had in her vehicle, not my favorite thing to do, but it has to be done. After we got our equipment all set aside I did a whole lot of nothing for awhile. The band had quite a few members(as you’ll see in the video), and they had an extra few showing up too. So getting all set up took awhile, I spent most my time eating some chips and salsa that the band had provided for everyone.

Once thing got started though, I didn’t have much time to be stuffing my face. My job was a little bit difficult since I had to maneuver between our crew, and a photographer that had come out to shoot just the band. After a few song snippets I just ended up picking a spot and shooting from there. Lighting conditions weren’t exactly ideal for capturing the crew in action, seeing as how all the lights were on stage.

The shoot went pretty well. Somehow hearing the same song snippet over and over never got old, though for the most part they’d play the snippet and we’d move along after three takes. So it never got too repetitive, at least for me. Maybe the people on stage might say otherwise, though the Rocket Brothers Band sure performed with no loss of enthusiasm.

It was probably one of the most fun shoots I’ve worked on in a bit. The Rocket Brothers are quite an energetic and entertaining bunch, and probably make any event fun. Make sure to check out the video, and if you’re interested have a look at their website here rocketbrothersband.com.
