One of Moth to Flame's favorite McCombs' events is the annual International Night event at UT McCombs. The event was documented by Christine Chen and Praveen Katta. Footage edited by Kelsey Parks. 10 Jan Lijiang: A Cultural Evolution
In 1994, National Geographic filmed the compelling documentary “Beyond the Clouds” about Lijiang, China. In 1995, Lijiang was struck by a devastating earthquake that registered 7.0 on the Richter scale, disrupting the lives of many in this beautiful and quaint city. This documentary seeks to show how the area nicknamed “Shangri-La” has changed and rebuilt itself in the recent years. Filmed in 2006, Christine Chen and Jo Ling Kent take a month long journey exploring Lijiang for Rice University. This is pretty much Christine Chen’s first official film.
