5:00 AM rolled around and sure enough, my friend, Nicolas Putnam was already on his way to pick me up for surfing. Despite going to bed the previous night fairly late, I surprisingly found it not difficult to wake up. I am sure the “first time” surfing nerves helped. We went back to Nic’s house to collect the surfboards and wetsuits, make breakfast (bacon, fried rice… my own creation), and head to the beach. Upon arrival, it shocked me to see the beach already filled with surfers. I had thought we were way too early, but in reality, we were…

The plus side of running your own production company, or any kind of small business, is that you are never bored. The negative side about running your own business is that you are busy 24-7 and rarely have time to sit and reflect. As a result, on the rare occasion that I do get to travel and take a nice vacation, I like blogging because it helps me collect and summarize my thoughts. make penis bigger   First random thought: Though I am constantly struggling to find balance in this chaotic, whirlwind of an entrepreneurial lifestyle, life could not be…

The Patrón Social Club is one of the coolest venues that Moth to Flame recently had an opportunity to be a part… great food, drinks, and people. The biggest highlight of the day was getting to meet John Paul Dejoria himself, the founder of both Paul Mitchell products as well as Patrón. I have both heard the brand included in so many movies and hip-hop rap songs, and have definitely had a chance to have a drink or two (or three), but never imagined that I would have the chance to take a shot with JP himself. What a super…

Being a small business ourselves, Moth to Flame loves to support other small businesses as well. We understand that one of the biggest challenges of a small business is sustainability and cash flow. As a result, Moth to Flame has invested in a few companies through designing and launching their kickstarter projects, from both the film production as well as the overall business model. Our recent project with David Lowe, the founder of Origin of Cool, involves their new product “Überpong“. Watch the behind the scenes to see what the buzz is about and stay tuned for the Origin of…

Many people have asked us what it’s like to work at Moth to Flame. It is really difficult to describe because the things we do on a daily basis often fluctuates so much. Sometimes the interns come in and we just spend the entire time filming something fun, or we go on shoots, edit, and more. We decided to make a video this week to show you what shenanigans we have been up to.

One of my goals in life is to direct a Nike commercial. I love the desaturated color correction, the lighting and the fast cuts that are typical of some Nike commercials. When I had the opportunity to film the Fahrenheit Nutrition video, I was ecstatic to be able to put some of my creativity to the test. This is what we came up with.   The athletes definitely made us look good, Will Molina the director of photography did wonders, and we even had original music by Richard Evans of The Guild.

Though we work hard at Moth to Flame, we definitely have fun as well. To lead up to our kickstarter shoot for Origin of Cool to raise money for their new product (customizable Ping-Pong paddles), we decided to do our own tutorial on how to play Ping-Pong. Of course, who better to instruct everyone, than our fabulous team members, Kelsey Pribilski and Collin Snyder. Make sure to check out our previous posts as well about our new office!

Moth to Flame has two of the most talented Kelsies in the world. We know you already heard of Kelsey Pribilski on CMT, but did you know that Kelsey Park, one of our editors, is living it up at the Cannes Film Festival? Ya, we are that awesome. Read below to hear about her experience.   Cannes Film Festival: Day 10   Despite the never ending rain at Cannes, I have been enjoying the past several days and having a wonderful time! From 8 am to 7 pm every day, we wait in line for tickets and we run around…
