Filming a Texas Wedding with Cherry and John Menard… It’s been a pleasure getting to know Cherry. She’s one of the first people I met when I moved to Austin to attend business school and start Moth to Flame. We met on the set of a short production called “American Roulette” directed by Alex Murphy, which happens to be the first project I produced in Austin. Ever since, we have been working together on various projects, from commercials to short films, and finally my debut feature, Funemployment. I was also one of the lucky ones to be able to hang…

And so it begins…….Countdown: 10 months… WEDDING We’ve all been to them, we all hear the stories, and we’ve all seen Bridesmaids. But ABSOLUTELY NOTHING can prepare you for actually planning one. Seriously, NO-THING.  I got engaged this past September – Octoberish (I’m really bad with dates). It was wonderful. My fiancé proposed in a way that was sweet/personal and it was perfect for who we are as a couple.   For about 2 weeks I was so excited, waving my ringed hand at anybody who’ll stand still long enough, answering all the questions on “How did he do…

Filming Meagan and Cameron’s wedding was a fantastic experience. Meagan is a dear friend of mine from the University of Texas McCombs MBA Full-Time program Class of 2012 and one of the first people I recruited for my filming craziness. You may recognize her in most of my MBA videos, such as “Gettin’ My MBA,” “Doritos: Get Your Own,” and countless others. She is a regular super star.   Besides being ridiculously beautiful and an awesome bride to work with, Meagan is a beautiful person inside. She is always such a positive person and so willing to help out others….

Having attended and filmed several weddings, I know now, more than ever, that when I get married, I want to hire the best videographer there is out there to film my wedding. An experienced wedding videographer knows how to tell a story, capture important moments, despite stressful situations ranging from poor lighting to tight wedding schedules.     Most people think that the wedding ceremony is the most important part about a wedding. I would have to disagree.   I feel that the most important part about the wedding is the overall experience, from getting ready, to watching the nervous groom…

A beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding. What more could one ask for? I had a blast at this wedding, filming, dancing on the floor with my camera, and even taking some pictures in the photo booth. I met Marco through my MBA program at UT and he asked me whether I could film his wedding about 2 weeks before his wedding! Of course I said yes. Here are some photos that I took as well.
