24 Apr Epic Flips and Editing
Independent filmmakers wear multiple hats. We often times are the writers, the producers, the directors, the shooters, the makeup artists, the editors, and the list goes on… For me, working on set is the most memorable part of the filmmaking process– people and chaos surround you and it is very much a huge social event, at least on the Moth to Flame sets it is… Off the set into post-production however, is another story. This is the part that often gets the least credit, the least recognition, but requires the most time commitment. I attribute this to a lack of…

10 Aug Vlog #17: Upcoming Projects
It has been an insane few weeks. Moth to Flame Films has projects up the wazoo and they keep coming! The biggest news is that we are 4 for 4 right now. This means that we have submitted 4 specs to Poptent and they have all been recognized. These are the following results: 1.”What is Happy to You?” – Purchased by Clinique 2. “Boss Don’t Take Checks” – 1st Place Editor’s Choice 3. “Just Married” – Honorable Mention 4. “Assemble Your Team” – Finalist This is a huge step for Moth to Flame Films… especially the purchase by Clinique. We…
02 Aug Clinique: What is Happy To You?
Moth to Flame Films had the honor of working with two very inspirational women. Heather Alden, artist from Faded Paper Figures, and Hollywood actress, Michelle Faraone. Clinique wanted spec commercials that answered the question “What is Happiness to You?” I thought about this for a while and came up with the idea of interviewing women who enjoy what they do. My inspiration mainly came from my own experiences. I worked in corporate for 3 years and realized that I could not go on in life half living. I took a risk and decided to pursue film making 100%. Ever since,…
04 Jul Vlog #15: Crazy 2 Weeks in LA
It has been a blast. Being surrounded by creative people is probably one of the best things that has happened to me. Every day I wake up with a drive to make more content, to continue to improve, and to do what I love to do with other people who appreciate it as well. Being obsessed with what you love has it downsides though. I definitely have not explored California as much as I should. I find myself spending copious amounts of time at my friend’s house, editing or filming. Last week though, I was able to go to…
