A beautiful couple and a beautiful wedding. What more could one ask for? I had a blast at this wedding, filming, dancing on the floor with my camera, and even taking some pictures in the photo booth. I met Marco through my MBA program at UT and he asked me whether I could film his wedding about 2 weeks before his wedding! Of course I said yes. Here are some photos that I took as well.

Day 9 (Everyday I’m Hustling) Bright and early, we began the day by setting off to see the famous Bombay Stock Exchange (Bombay is the same as Mumbai and often used interchangeably). Regrettably, I suck at finance and anything related, so I did not have much to contribute. One interesting thing: the current savings account interest rate is a whopping 8%. Unfortunately, the inflation rate however around 12% so people just lose money. Perhaps people could make money in the U.S. if they save their money in offshore accounts in India to get the 8% interest rate. I imagine strict…

Day 8 (Haggling and Slums) Today started painfully with a 5:30 am meeting time. To catch our flight to Mumbai on IndiGo we took a four-hour bus ride back to Delhi. Needless to say, multiple wake-up calls were at the ready.   On our way out, I recorded footage of the villages we passed on our way out of Ahmedabad. I fell asleep for various legs of the journey even though I sat in the very front of the bus, as Doggett had insisted, and the bus driver informed me that he needed me not to fall asleep or else…

Day 5 (Happy Holi!) buy steroids uk So my last traumatizing Taj Mahal dead battery experience, at the most crucial moment of filming, forced me to take extra precautions for the trip back. The night before I charged then recharged all batteries, dumped old footage, set a million alarms, and analyzed what I had captured to improve my filming. By the time I ended my compulsory precautions to film the Taj Mahal sunrise (not to mention that I had to meet my group at 5:30 am), the clock read 2 am.   The next day, all of the anticipation and…

Day 4 (Epic Morning, Epic Sunrise, Epic History) Let’s start things off with a short treatment of my morning: Christine’s Epic Morning INT. ShangriLa Hotel Room – Morning 5:19 AM The room, clothed in darkness, echoes the DEEP SLUMBERING SOUNDS of two women, CAROLINE KOLB and CHRISTINE CHEN, peacefully sleeping in their hotel beds. Suddenly a KNOCK. CHRISTINE Uhhhh…. Did someone knock? MYSTERY PERSON Umm… it’s Paul. CHRISTINE SHITTTTT!!!!!!! CAROLINE!!!! SHITTT!! DID THE ALARM NOT GO OFF? CAROLINE Huh? CHRISTINE THE ALARM!! We’re supposed to be down at 5:30 AM or we’re going to miss the train!!!! CAROLINE F&%*! My…

Bigroundballs.com should sound familiar because I worked with them a year ago, when I lived in LA for the summer of 2011 to do an internship at 20th Century Fox. It is a non-profit charity that my dear friend Nicolas Putnam started with his friend Joel Lyftogt to help raise awareness and money for testicular cancer research. Both Nic and Joel have had loved ones die from this deadly disease and as a way to cope with their losses as well as help others dealing with this same issue, they started this fantastic charity. The first video I did was…

It's surprising to think that many of the online platforms we use daily and perhaps could not fathom living without have only existed for less than a century. For me, my guilty pleasure is YouTube. This phenomenon occurred when two programmers and one design student, Steve Chen, Jawed Karim, and Chad Hurley, respectively (of course the White guy is the designer..) brought YouTube to the public in February 2005. That’s only about 7 years from today!     I suppose YouTube has significantly affected me because my career as a serious filmmaker did not officially start until 2009.  I dabbled...

Have you ever wondered why you’ve stayed with that one guy or girl. In “Thanks Babe!” Moth to Flame explores a typical life in a typical couple’s day. Well, maybe not so typical…perhaps borderline psycho? Tell us what you think.     We’ve all been in relationships where we wonder why we’re still in them. Beautiful filmmaking elicits on some level an emotional response from people. We love when we can make people laugh, and we all really enjoyed writing and making this short. We have regular lunch meetings on Tuesdays where we talk about things that make us laugh….
