This fast growing company  creates designer and custom ping pong paddles. Uberpong was launched in November 2012 and has since garnered recognition from various business news and lifestyle. Their dynamic team has fostered a competitive and productive work environment. David Lowe, the founder of Uberpong talks about what it is like to be an entrepreneur.

 What is the startup story for your company?

Its was the end of the workday on a Friday in October when me and my coworkers were locked in an epic ping pong battle. This was the atmosphere almost every day at the small tech startup in London. Through this experience I started to noticed that everyone there had a unique personality and style, but neither was reflected in the game. Soon after, Uberpong was created to bring style and customization to table tennis and change the face of the game.

What made you decide to start your company?

“I quickly realized that the game was missing something,” said David Lowe, CEO and Founder of Uberpong. “As the second most played sport in the world, ping pong had so little aesthetic appeal. In fact, it’s one of the few the few sports that doesn’t offer a way to personalize equipment. It had to change—and Uberpong is that change.”

What is your greatest challenge as an entrepreneur?

Staying positive when you are low and feeling beaten up.
