18 Feb Moth to Flame presents Supathi & Amit Puri’s Wedding Trailer
It is always a pleasure for Moth to Flame to film a Longhorn wedding. In fact, being asked to film a fellow classmate, advisor, or professor’s wedding is a great honor for me. As many of you know, I went to McCombs Business School and my two years there had a significant impact on my life. I made a lot of long lasting friendships with many professors and colleagues. It is a time when I really discovered my voice as a filmmaker. So a Longhorn wedding is almost like a mini reunion. Recently, I had the honor of filming Amit…

17 Feb Moth to Flame presents Fellow “Funemployer,” Lizette López De Arriaga
Moth to Flame loosely defines being Funemployed as someone who has decided to pursue a passion/dream as his/her job. We are sure you have all heard the quote: "It is a beautiful thing when a passion and a career come together." Well, take it from Lizette, she believes in this completely. Originally, we had wanted a local Austin startup to kick off our Funemployment Funemployer Campaign, but being that it is Lizette's birthday today, we decided what a perfect way to celebrate her special day. We met Lizette first in Los Angeles, California a few years ago, when...14 Feb Special Delivery on Valentine’s Day from Moth to Flame

04 Feb Essential Oliver Brand Launch Party with Moth to Flame
One of the coolest things about doing what you love is that you get to film and meet other people who are just as passionate about what they do. This past weekend, Moth to Flame stopped by the Essential Oliver brand launch party, held at Delta Millworks. Essential Oliver is a vintage lifestyle brand specializing in high craftsmanship clothing. Besides the awesome new looks, our favorite part about the party was meeting all of the sponsoring brands and companies. Along the lines of our theme of Funemployment, Moth to Flame talked to many local brands ranging from coffee to…

03 Feb SXSW is coming!
It is crazy to think that 2013 has already come and gone and we are already planning for 2014 SXSW! As the date closes in, startups, artists, and other folks trying to make a statement should consider doing some video blogging. During these two intensive weeks, many of the Moth to Flame members enjoy cavorting around the streets of SXSW, which ranges from Rainey to Downtown to Auditorium Shores and more filming cool sites and sounds. This year will definitely yield some more awesome new videos, Instagram pics, tweets, and more. Staying active is important because more so than…
29 Jan Photography with Adam Duncan
Taking photos is what I do when I want to relax. It is what I do when I travel or when I want to get to know someone better. In my opinion, the key to taking great photos (when your subject matter is a person), is to figure out how to make your subject as comfortable as possible. As model/actor, lead of my debut feature, Funemployment, and friend, Adam Duncan and I explored Austin, we talked about goals and dreams. As I snapped away with my camera, I asked him to think about funny things that happened when…
29 Jan 1-2 PUNCH!!! Countdown: Still 10 months..
…..So three weeks and three trips to Houston later, I’ve got a dress and a Church!!! You have no idea how good it feels to have those 2 VERY important things done this early. I feel like I should get an award for only having to visit one church and 3 dress shops, but I know I got lucky. So I’ll try to keep things in perspective. But lets discuss a few things concerning these 2. #1- THE DRESS: Wedding Dress – Lyceum Galveston Moth to Flame I had looked at dresses online early on and…
